If you want to install EasyConnect and start mirroring your iPhone straight away, this build is not a good bet.
The EasyConnect 6.9 APK used in this test installed successfully. But when CarbitLink opened, it showed Registration status: unregistered. The tester could not find a paid activation option, so the test stopped before phone mirroring could begin.
The file used for this test was:
SignedLocal_WWEasyConnect.TW12.6.9-ad0ec04ea-202301121134.release.apk

It was selected from the head unit's file manager, then Android completed the installation and displayed CarbitLink — App installed.

Installation itself was not the problem. The problem appeared after launch.
On first launch, CarbitLink went to an activation screen and reported that it was unregistered.
The tester looked for a paid activation option but did not find one. Without getting past that screen, there was no way to reach the part that matters to a driver: connecting a phone and seeing whether mirroring, sound and touch actually work.

We only know where this test stopped; it does not explain the activation issue or tell us how another head unit would behave.
The version information for this APK described a shorter wired iPhone-mirroring setup for certain AMEX-SL01, SL01a and SL02 units.
That part was never reached here. The app did not get past activation, so wired iPhone mirroring was not tested. Wireless connection, audio, touch control, internet access and sleep/wake behavior were not tested either.
The advertised setup change may explain why someone would want this version, but this test cannot tell you whether it works.
If your goal is simple — install the APK, connect your phone and use it — I would skip this build for now. A successful installation does not help much when the app stops before its main feature opens.
Treat this as one attempt that stopped at activation, not a verdict on every head unit. The useful part is simpler: installing the APK did not get this setup as far as phone connection or mirroring.
My verdict: EasyConnect 6.9 installed cleanly, but activation stopped the test. For anyone who wants phone mirroring that works immediately, this result is a no.
