TS10S.2.1 20260709 update: the install completed, but AHD hit a snag

CarMate Workshop CarMate Workshop

The update completed on the test unit, but selecting four-channel AHD monitoring was followed by a Car Settings crash. If you are considering this firmware for camera-related changes, that is the result to read before reaching for a USB drive.

This is a bench-update record for one TS10S.2.1 unit using the OS-EN firmware TS10S.2.1_20260709.170406_OS-EN.zip. Its version page displayed Android 12.0, 2000x1200 resolution and 4GB/64GB. Those details describe the unit shown here; use your own unit's firmware requirements when choosing a package.

What was reported in this update?

The tester's written return lists four items: front/rear/left/right mirror settings for four-channel monitoring; a correction to mismatched reverse-camera format selections; remembering the assigned Google voice function after a long-press power-off and wake-up; and switching to the reversing view while the pull-down panel is open. The photos show the mirror controls. The other three items have no separate before-and-after function record or result photos, so this article does not present them as demonstrated fixes.

The USB update, step by step

Start with the current version

The starting system version was TS10S.2.1_20260625.135945_OS-EN. Keeping this page alongside the post-update page makes the change easy to see.

Find the package on the USB drive

The file browser showed TS10S.2.1_20260709.170406_OS-EN.zip in /storage/usbdisk1. It displayed 1.93GB; the recorded package size is 2,067,308,403 bytes.

Open System upgrade

The unit's System upgrade screen had usb1 selected and displayed the restart-to-upgrade prompt. A Wipe data and format flash switch is also visible. The return does not document a backup or which wipe setting was used; follow the instructions for your exact unit rather than copying that switch from a photo.

Let the update run

The next photo shows the system-update screen. Keep power connected during the update, as the upgrade warning instructs. After the process, the unit returned to a version page showing the new system build.

What changed on the version page?

The system, application and CarSetting builds changed. The MCU, Boot and Android strings stayed the same.

The AHD problem matters more than the new version number

The camera menu includes Four-channel monitoring with AHD selected. The tester reported that after choosing this mode and the automatic restart, Car Settings reported an error and crashed. No photo of that error was retained.

A separate screen shows Front Mirror, Rear Mirror, Left Mirror and Right Mirror controls. It shows where those settings are; there are no four-camera output comparisons here to demonstrate their results.

Would I update for this?

If your current setup works, this case gives little reason to rush. If camera settings are the reason you want this build, the AHD crash is a reason to hold off and get advice for your exact setup. The return contains no confirmed recovery or rollback result to offer as a workaround.

The update installed, but the AHD result is a reason to pause—not a reason to rush into flashing.
